The Hawaiian canoe involves a whole culture and magic, preserving the philosophy of teamwork, with synergy and union. OC6 canoes have 6 seats, are about 14 meters long and each crew member has a specific function:

Paddler 1: At the front of the canoe, he dictates the rhythm and frequency of the paddling.
Rowing 2: Follows rowing 1, but on the opposite side giving rhythm and frequency to rowers 4 and 6.
Rowing 3: Counts the change of side in rowing, and generally there are between 10 and 20 paddles on each side, where Hip announces the change.
Paddle 4: Keeps an eye on the Iako, so that there is no balance oscillation.
Oarsman 5: Pulls the water out of the canoe when necessary.
Rowing 6: He is the captain of the canoe, the most important and respected function for being the last one and driving the canoe at the helm.
